Flooding Puts Vital Community Hub At Risk
The Conservative run Essex County Council, is ignoring pleas from local head teachers to address the flooding which regularly occurs outside Passmores Academy and Holy Cross primary school.
These schools not only provide an education to thousands of young people but are vital community hubs with outside activities and a local church attached.
Requests from these heads have met a lacklustre response and been told they're low priority. As the winter draws closer this problem will only get worse putting students and teachers at risk of injury.
Local campaigner William Tennison said "I'm deeply concerned this issue hasn't been taken more seriously by The Tory County Council. The residents deserve better and our hardworking students and teachers shouldn't have to navigate this problem."
